Study Abroad

The Bachelor of International Business program features a mandatory year abroad in third year, which most students describe as the experience of a lifetime! Your year abroad will improve your fluency in your chosen language, increase your cultural awareness and provide you with many new experiences. Immersion in your language of study and its culture are a vital part of your preparation for a career in international business. Read about BIB students’ experiences abroad below.

You will study in a country in which your BIB language is spoken for two academic terms (a full academic year). During this time, you will pay Carleton University tuition fees. Approved and successfully completed courses are added to your Carleton academic record. You will return to Carleton for your fourth year to complete the program.
